Liam Lindsay, Nicky Devlin and Andy Irving make Scotland squad
Last updated 1st Oct 2024
Liam Lindsay, Nicky Devlin and Andy Irving have all been called up to the Scotland squad for the first time.
Steve Clarke has been forced to draft in new names due to several injury issues.
Preston defender Lindsay started his career at Partick Thistle before making the move down south.
The 28-year old has featured in the English Championship regularly for North End - and also for Barnsley and Stoke City before that.
Aberdeen full-back Devlin has been ever-present under Jimmy Thelin this season with the Pittodrie side winning all their matches.
Irving has featured off the bench for West Ham United in their last three matches after spending the last few seasons in Austria and Germany.
Veteran goalkeeper Craig Gordon has also been recalled to the national side after breaking back into the Hearts team.
Aaron Hickey, Nathan Patterson, Kieran Tierney, Scott McKenna, Jack Hendry, John McGinn and Lewis Ferguson all remain sidelined.
