Landmark footbridge connects Sighthill to Glasgow city centre
It overlooks the M8 and aims to encourage people to use active travel to get around.

A new bridge overlooking the M8 motorway is opening to the public in the North of Glasgow.
It has been in construction for nearly 2 years in Sighthill.
It's designed to connect people with the city centre as part of wider £250m regeneration project.
Council leader Susan Aitken is explaining why it looks rusty.
She said: "The type of steel looks rusty and it was chosen specifically to stand up to the weather.
"I know it looks rusty, but it is actually going to help the bridge to last for decades and perhaps even centuries."
Karen McGregor is from the charity Sustrans which aims to encourage more people to walk and cycle.
She said: “This is a really significant moment for the city.
"We’ve got the opening of the bridge at Sighthill, so it means the community now has a safe and direct link into the city centre.
"This means more people can make that conscious decision to leave the car at home for their everyday journeys.
“It’s really important we offer people the opportunity to make choices.
"If people want to walk or cycle, we know it’s healthier, it’s better for the environment. But what it’s actually doing it’s providing people in these communities with direct access to all amenities the centre has and employment opportunities."
