Homes and businesses around Cameron Street in Coatbridge have been evacuated because of a chemical leak.
Officers have closed off nearby Burnbank St, Cromlet Dr and Northburn Industrial Estate.
The public is being asked to avoid the area and enquiries are ongoing.
