Hawkhead Road in Paisley shut after two men struck by car

Two men have been rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

Hawkhead Road in Paisley remains closed after two men were struck by a car this morning.

Officers were called out around 8.10 and two men aged 40 and 51, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

The road is currently closed between Accord Avenue and Portland Road whilst enquiries are carried out.

Anyone with any information who has not spoken to officers should contact police via 101, quoting incident number 0695 of Wednesday, 18 September, 2024.
