Man rushed to hospital and another arrested after Glasgow disturbance

A man has been taken to hospital and another arrested in connection with an incident in Glasgow.

Emergency crews were called to Glenturret Street in the city's East End around 7.30am this morning, due to an alleged disturbance between two men.

A 52-year-old man sustained a serious arm injury and is being treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

A 27-year-old man has bee arrested in connection with the incident but officers are continuing to investigate.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.20am on Friday, 6 October, 2023, police were called to a report of a disturbance involving two men in Glenturret Street, Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and a 52-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to a serious arm injury.

“A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing.”
