Glasgow road closed due to collision between bus and pedestrian

An M8 slip road is also impacted and traffic is being diverted.

Police are in attendance and a road is closed in Glasgow city centre near the Royal Infirmary due to an ongoing incident involving a bus and a pedestrian.

Castle Street is shut and officers are asking drivers to go another way.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We are in attendance on Castle Street, near Glasgow Royal Infirmary, following a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian.

"Castle Street is closed in both directions, from Glebe Street to Warnock Street.

"The M8 J15 eastbound slip road is also impacted with traffic is being diverted onto Alexandra Parade.

"Please avoid the area and use an alternative route."
