Former workers at the 13th Note in Glasgow say they'll push ahead with plans to take over the venue after winning an employment tribunal against their old boss.

Jacqueline Fennessy closed down the bar on King Street in July last year and is being asked to pay all her ex employees 90 days of wages.

Nick Troy used to work in the kitchen and said: "We've soldiered on for the last nine months and I think it demonstrates we were right to ask for what we are owed.

"Going through a campaign has been tough but we're all quite close.

"It took me a few months to find a new job and I took a huge financial hit."

A judge found the business broke trade union rules by not giving employees enough notice about its closure.

Nick added: "I hope this is an example to other people that you can take your employer to task and you will not always lose."

We've approached Jacqueline Fennessy for comment, but she has previously told us she was devastated by the venue's closure and it faced challenges after the pandemic.
