The devastated loved ones of a Motherwell man who died on Easter Sunday are starting a fundraiser for our charity, Cash For Kids.

David Tait matched children with foster parents and was passionate about helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

His best friend Steven Louden told Greatest Hits Radio: "He played a pivotal role in helping kids find a safe home.

"He was fiercely proud of where he came from and he was always trying to help people from his own neck of the woods."

David's family and friends are hoping to raise thousands of pounds.

Steven added: "David will be remembered as a shining star and he was a diamond human being.

"He grabbed life by the horns and lived it to the fullest extent."
