Elderly pedestrian critical after Glasgow crash
It happened around 5.20pm yesterday at Clarkston Toll
Road policing officers are appealing for information following a serious road crash at Clarkston Toll on Friday, 17 May 2024.
Around 5.20pm, police received a report of a road crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Stamperland Crescent at Clarkston Toll Roundabout.
Emergency services attended and the 86-year-old male pedestrian was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Medical staff describe his condition as critical.
The 54-year-old male driver of the Mercedes GLE was uninjured.
The road was closed for several hours to allow for collision investigation to take place.
Seargeant Scott Gourlay said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area, who has not yet spoken to police, to contact us. If anyone has a dash cam, please pass on any relevant footage to us as it could assist us in establishing the full circumstances of this incident.”
