East Kilbride bus driver who sexually abused three girls jailed for 12 years
Craig Wallace raped two of the children and targeted one in a van while he sat in a public car park.
An East Kilbride bus driver guilty of abusing three young girls has been jailed for 12 years.
Craig Wallace preyed on the children including targeting one in a van while he sat in a public car park.
The 41 year-old was sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow.
He had been convicted last month of lewd and libidinous conduct towards the first victim in the van in Hamilton, Lanarkshire.
Wallace was further guilty of raping the second girl at a house in the town.
He was finally convicted of the sexual assault, attempted rape and rape of the final child in Douglas, Lanarkshire.
Prosecutors stated the charges - all returned with unanimous verdicts - spanned between 2003 and 2018.
As well as the jail-term, Lord Armstrong also ordered Wallace to be monitored for four years after his release.
The judge told the sex attacker: "The evidence disclosed a course of conduct systematically pursued by you.
"The crime of rape, in particular, is a grave offence in which all women and girls should be protected.
"I am satisfied, having regard to the repeated nature of the offending, that there is no alternative to a custodial disposal."
Wallace, of East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, was further put on the sex offenders list indefinitely.
The court was told he had a previous conviction for a domestic-related assault.
Regarding these latest crimes, his lawyer Rhonda Anderson said: "There is very little that I can say against a background of him maintaining his innocence."
