Two in hospital after Holytown crash between motorcycle and pedestrian

Officers are appealing for information following a crash in Holytown.

The incident happened around 5.35pm on Wednesday, 30 October, 2024 on Stevenston Street involving a black, orange and white Surron motorcycle and a pedestrian.

A 29-year-old man, the motorcyclist, was taken to Wishaw General Hospital where his condition is described as serious.

An 18-year-old man, the pedestrian, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

The road was closed for around six hours to allow for enquiries to be carried out.

Sergeant Chris McColm said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact us.

“We are also appealing to anyone driving in the area at the time with dashcam footage to come forward.”
