Residents in Coatbridge face more disruption after second chemical leak reported

Police are telling people to keep their windows closed

A second chemical leak in as many weeks has been reported in Coatbridge.

Officers are in attendance in the Cameron Street area.

A cordon has been put in place and nearby residents are asked to keep their windows closed while the substance is dealt with.

There are no reported injuries and there's no risk to the wider public.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are in attendance with partners at the Northburn Industrial Estate in the Cameron Street area of Coatbridge, following a report of a chemical leak.
