Celtic will play Slovan Bratislava or Kairat Almaty in the Champions League play-off, whilst Rangers will face either Salzburg or Club Brugge if they beat Viktoria Plzen in the previous round.

The draw took place in Switzerland on Monday morning.

The play-off first legs will be played on 19 and 20 August, with second legs on 26 & 27 August.

Brendan Rodgers' side are looking to reach the league phase for the fourth straight season.

Russell Martin's men will hope to overcome their Czech opposition as they aim for the Champions League proper for just the second time in 14 years.

Rangers will drop in to the Europa League if they lose the third round qualifier.
