Kyogo and Hatate earn recalls after stellar seasons

Celtic trio Kyogo, Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda have been called up to the latest Japan squad after their impressive campaigns.

Maeda makes keeps his place in Hajime Moriyasu's team after impressing at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, where he scored in the knockout stages.

Kyogo has earned a recall for the first time since September, after netting 31 goals in all competitions this season.

Midfielder Hatate is hoping to add to his one cap for the Samurai Blue, which came over a year ago.

Japan face El Salvador and Peru in the Kirin Challenge Cup in June.
