Bridgeton sex attacker sentenced to six years behind bars
67-year-old John McIntyre abused two young girls in Glasgow and South Lanarkshire
A sex attacker who preyed on two vulnerable young girls has been jailed for six years.
John McIntyre repeatedly abused the traumatised pair who were described as "easy targets".
The 67 year-old was sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow today.
He had been convicted of two charges of lewd and libidinous behaviours towards the then girls between 1985 and 1991.
The crimes occurred in Glasgow and South Lanarkshire.
Judge Douglas Brown told McIntyre: "From the evidence and a statement (from first victim), she said this has impacted her whole life.
"She still suffers from nightmares and flashbacks which have become worse after giving evidence."
He said the second victim was preyed upon in return for food.
Judge Brown added: "This has affected so many aspects of her life.
"She still struggles and feels incredibly angry about it all."
McIntyre, of the city's Bridgeton, will be on the sex offenders list indefinitely.
