Body pulled from River Clyde in search for missing Glasgow man

Michael Patrick Dougan's next of kin have been informed

Police searching for a man missing from Glasgow since before Christmas have recovered a body from the River Clyde.

The discovery was made at around 9.20am on Thursday near Pointhouse Place in the city.

Formal identification has yet to taje place, but officers believe the man to be 50-year-old Michael Patrick Dougan who was reported missing from Kirkton on Thursday, 21 December, 2023.

His next of kin have been informed and enquiries are ongoing.

Police do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
