John Beaton has been appointed as the referee for this weekend's Old Firm match.

Nick Walsh will be the VAR for Sunday's game at Ibrox, with Willie Collum the 4th official.

It will be the sixth time Beaton has refereed a match between Glasgow's big two clubs.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers will be in the dugout for the defending champions after serving his one-match touchline ban last week.

The Northern Irishman was suspended for questioning Beaton's performance as the VAR in a 2-0 loss to Hearts in March, branding him 'incompetent'.

Rangers have also been critical of an official this campaign.

The Gers called on the Scottish FA to ban Willie Collum from all of their future matches after claiming the VAR was wrong not to penalise Alistair Johnston for a handball in December's defeat at Parkhead - despite Abdallah Sima being offside in the build-up.

Celtic are currently top of the table by one point, although Rangers have a game in hand.

The two teams meet at midday on Sunday.
