Police investigating the attempted murder of a man in a shop in Glasgow nearly a month ago have charged five men.

A 52-year-old man was reported to have been shot at the store on Drumoyne Road in the Govan area at around 4pm on Friday, October 25.

Police confirmed the men, aged 41, 35, 33, 20 and 20, have been arrested, and charged, and are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

Following the incident police appealed for information about a dark-coloured Ford Fiesta which was seen being driven “erratically” during rush-hour traffic on the same day.

A car was later found burnt out in a wooded area near Cochno Road in Faifley.
