As well as potential problems with supplies it has caused localised flood on the road at one of Glasgow’s busiest junctions at Anniesland Cross.

Scottish Water says the burst could temporarily cause low water pressure or loss of normal water supply to properties in areas such as the city centre, West End, Partick, Anniesland and Govan.

Postcodes affected

Their alert covers the G1, G2, G3, G4, G12, G13, G20 and G51 postcode areas.
