Man who died in A71 crash named as Abraham Torrance from Kilmarnock

Police in Irvine have revealed the identity of a man who died in a crash on the A71 last week.

70-year-old Abraham Torrance, from Kilmarnock, passed away at the scene of the incident, which involved a grey Kia Creed and a lorry.

It took place mid-morning at the Corsehillmount Roundabout and Warrix Interchange.

No one else was injured.

Constable Josh Forrester said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr Torrance and enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash and the events leading up to it continue.

“We are asking anyone who can assist with information, including dash-cam footage, to get in touch if they have not already spoken to officers.”
