Elderly man dies after Yorkhill crash

An 84 year old man has died after a crash in Yorkhill in Glasgow.

He was driving a Peugeot 2008 on Carfrae Street on Thursday the 11th January when the vehicle lost control and struck a parked Suzuki SX4. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but died on Saturday.

Police are appealing for anyone with dash am footage or anyone who was walking nearby at the time to get in touch.

Sergeant Ally Wright said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this very difficult time.

“As our enquiries continue to establish the circumstances surrounding this crash, I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

"If you were in the area of Carfrae Street around the time of the crash and saw this car, or if you have any dashcam footage, please contact us as soon as possible.”
