Man arrested after car driven at police in Glasgow

The 22 year old will appear in court on Monday

A 22 year old man has been arrested and charged after a car was driven at police in Glasgow on Saturday evening.

Officers were made aware of a car driving dangerously on Provan Road at around 5.40pm on October 18, and when they arrived at the scene a silver Peugeot 207 was driven at them on Cumbernauld Road.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The 22 year old is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday 20 October.

Police appeal

Constable Rose Richmond said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident and hasn’t already spoken to officers to contact us.

“The area was busy at the time, and I would also ask anyone who has mobile phone footage or dash cam footage which could assist to get in touch.”
