Yellow Heat Health Alert for Essex
Temperatures could hit highs of 31 degrees
The UKHSA (UK Health Security Agency) has issued a yellow heat health alert for much of the Southeast as temperatures soar.
The alert is in place from today (28th August) until early tomorrow (29th August) with some areas seeing highs of 31 degrees.
There are warnings that older people and the more vulnerable are at risk when these levels of heat are reached.
There could also be higher usage of health care services – so we are being told to take care.
