Woman dies after house fire near Romford
She was found by firefighters early this morning
A woman's body has been recovered following a house fire on Myrtle Road in Harold Hill yesterday morning (11th January).
The body was found by firefighters who wearing breathing apparatus.
She was found on the ground floor, which had been damaged by the fire.
Three fire engines and around 20 crew from Harold Hill, Romford and Hornchurch fire stations attended the blaze.
They responded to a call just after 1:20AM and had it under control by 2AM.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police.
