Woman charged over arson attacks in Clacton

A series of fires were started in the town centre area in March

Officers investigating a series of suspicious fires in Clacton have charged a woman with arson.

The incidents took place at locations in the town centre area between 17 and 24 March.

Thankfully, no one was injured in the attacks, with damage caused to a door, buildings and bins.

Police charged Nina Eagle of Agate Road, Clacton with seven offences of arson and one offence of Misuse of Public Communication, which involved false calls being made to emergency services.

The 35-year-old will appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 11 November.
