Essex Police have charged a woman, after an assault in Chelmsford during Sunday's England match at Euro 2024.

It was reported an incident occurred after someone was refused entry to The Courtyard in Baddow Road.

One person was assaulted, with two others then spat at.

Officers have since charged 47-year-old Cassie Smith, of Westbourne Grove, with ABH, two counts of common assault and criminal damage.

It's part of her bail conditions that she's not allowed to enter any licenced venue in Chelmsford.

Smith will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on July 12th.
