Woman arrested after two police officers assaulted in Clacton
She was allegedly in possession of a knife or bladed article
A woman's been arrested after allegedly being found with a knife and assaulting two police officers outside a charity shop in Clacton.
The 40-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and criminal damage as well, after the incident on Station Road on Tuesday.
Police were called with reports of an argument involving a man and a woman at 3.15pm on Tuesday 27 April.
The door of a charity shop was also smashed.
Two officers were assaulted while detaining a the woman from Clacton in connection with the incident.
She was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife or bladed article in a public place, a public order offence, criminal damage, and assaulting an emergency worker.
She was released under investigation while Essex Police continue their enquiries.
