Woman arrested after 14-year-old girl hit by car in Basildon

A teenager's been hit by a car in Basildon.
Essex Police say a 32-year-old woman from Vange has been arrested a 14-year-old girl was hit by a car whilst crossing a pedestrian crossing in Timberlog Lane.
The girl was walking across, pushing an electric scooter, on Tuesday at 6:45pm when she was hit by the car and knocked unconcious.
The woman arrested on suspicion of attempted GBH with intent has been bailed until September 7th.
An appeal for witnesses, information and footage has been launched be Essex Police.
