Witness appeal after women robbed in Basildon
The pair were assaulted and had their phones taken in Town Square early on Saturday
Police are appealing for witnesses after two women were robbed in Basildon in the early hours of Saturday (September 24).
It's reported to have happened in Town Square at around 1:40am, with both victims being taken to hospital with head injuries.
It's alleged they were approached by a group of three men and three women, with one of the women described as having purple hair. A second woman in the group was wearing orange clothing.
The victims, in their 20s, had their mobile phones and a purse taken.
Officers are seeking witnesses to the incident, as well as any mobile phone, dashcam or CCTV footage taken near the scene.
