Five arrested after drugs and cash seized in Wickford
Police have found 1kg of suspected Class A drugs

Five people have been arrested and drugs, cash and weapons have been seized during a series of police raids in Wickford.
Four addresses were searched yesterday (August 11) in the south of Essex.
A 59 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a controlled drug.
Two 21 year-old men and a 24 year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.
A 55 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of criminal property.
All remain in custody.
Officers have sezied around 1kg of suspected Class A drugs, along with several guns and £50,000 in cash.
Detective Inspector Yoni Adler, of Essex Police, said: “These were a successful set of warrants this morning and are part of our ongoing work to tackle the sale of drugs in the county.
“Drugs ruin lives and destroy communities and we’re working every day to stop their sale.
