Man suffers 'life-changing' injuries following serious collision with HGV

Essex Police say that the man had been on a mobility scooter during the crash

Essex Police are appealing for information after a man was left with "life-changing" injuries following a serious collision.

The man, who is in his 60s, had been riding a mobility scooter when it collided with a heavy-goods vehicle on Old Pier Street in Walton-on-the-Naze at around 2:45pm on Friday (November 1st).

During the incident, the man was taken to hospital for treatment, where it was discovered he had suffered "life-changing" injuries.

Officers are now asking those who may have been in the area and witnessed the crash to come forward as soon as possible.

Those who may have seen the crash happen, or may have CCTV footage of the area at the time of the collision are being particularly urged to speak up.
