Vehicle recovered minutes after reported stolen in Colchester

A man has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle

A car has been recovered 11 minutes after it was reported stolen in Colchester.

Essex Police received a call shortly after 2am today (21 May) reporting a Range Rover Sport had been stolen from an address in Queen Elizabeth Way.

Officers from the Stanway Roads Policing Unit stopped the vehicle in Windsor Close.

Digital equipment was also seized.

A 33 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and is currently in custody.

Essex Police have also returned the vehicle to its owner.
