Unexploded World War II shell thought to have been found in Grays

An unexploded Second World War device was discovered in Essex yesterday.

Police were called to Lodge Lane, Grays at around 4.25pm.

Currently it is not known exactly where the unexploded device was discovered although it has been confirmed that it is believed to be a wartime shell.

Bomb disposal experts took the ordnance to another location nearby to safely detonate it last night.
