Two teenage boys arrested after boy stabbed in Westcliff

A boy has been stabbed after reports of a group of young people fighting in Westcliff.

Essex Police were called to Springfield Avenue just after 2:30pm on Monday (May 20th).

A boy was found with a "puncture wound" and taken to hospital where he is in a stable condition.

Two 16-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of GBH and possession of a knife. They have both been released on conditional bail whilst police enquiries continue.

An appeal for witnesses and information is ongoing.
