Two people arrested by officers in Clacton
Officers were carrying out patrols as part of Op Sceptre – the operation tackling knife crime
Two people have been arrested by officers in Clacton.
Officers from Essex Police's Operational Support Group reported seeing a car acting suspiciously in Clacton town centre at around 2.30pm yesterday (28 April).
They stopped the vehicle and carried out a search, and found suspected Class A drugs, money, mobile phones and a tyre wrench.
Two 25 year-old men were arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possession with intent to supply drugs.
They have since been released under investigation.
