Two charged after suspected shooting & attempted kidnap in Jaywick

After a man was reportedly shot in Jaywick, leading to a police chase, two men from London have been charged.

One is accused of attempted kidnap and possession of an imitation firearm, whilst another faces six charges including common assault.

It's after an incident on Saturday.

Sunil Singh, 27, of Rectory Road, in London, has been charged with attempted kidnap, common assault and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Gurmet Kaur, 44, of Wilton Square in London, is charged with a public order offence, four counts of common assault and dangerous driving.

They'll appear in court today.
