Two men charged with firearm offences after vehicles shot at
Two vehicles were shot at in Billericay and Wickford
Two men have been charged as part of an investigation into a firearm being shot at two vehicles.
Essex Police launched an investigation after a car was hit by a bullet in Gardiners Lane North, in Billericay in the early hours of 18 April. No-one was injured.
Officers were then made aware of a similar incident several hours earlier on 17 April, when a white van was hit in Nevendon Road in Wickford, again there were no injuries.
In relation to both incidents, 26 year old Donny Archer of Kelvedon Road, Tiptree, has been charged with attempted wounding and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He has been remanded into custody until his next court appearance on 26 May.
20 year old Nelson Buckland, of Risebridge Chase, Romford, is charged with attempted wounding and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He was also remanded into custody to appear alongside Archer on the same date.
Essex Police are contiuning to appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
