Two arrested after teenager stabbed in Westcliff disturbance
Two teenagers were arrested after the incident on Wednesday night
Two teenage boys have been arrested after another teenager was stabbed in Westcliff on Wednesday evening.
The boy sustained wounds to his leg and was taken to hospital.
Police were called around 7:15pm on Wednesday (August 2) after reports of a "disturbance" in London Road in Westcliff.
Two teenage boys in the area were arrested by officers on suspicion of GBH and have since been released on bail until October 29th.
A knife was also found by police and are asking anyone with information or footage to get in contact.
They don't believe there needs to be any concerns for the public.
Chief Inspector Jo Collins said: “Officers were on scene very quickly leading to two arrests and the recovery of a knife believed to be used in this serious assault.
“We have already carried out initial enquiries to establish what happened in the lead up to this incident and spoken to several people, but we want anyone who has not already spoken to us and knows something that could help our investigation, to contact us.
“It would have been a shocking incident for anyone to witness, but we don’t believe that there are any concerns for the wider public.”
