Two arrested after man seriously injured in Jaywick assault

Two people have been arrested after a man was seriously injured during an assault in Jaywick.
Police were called to reports of a fight outside the Never Say Die pub on Broadway at around 10:15pm on Saturday night (August 6).
One man was seriously injured, with doctors initially thinking he could die.
A 41 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent.
A 44 year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of common assault and obstructing a police officer.
Police are seeking witnesses to the incident, as they believe a large number of people may have seen what happened.
