Two arrested after illegal NYE event in Essex village

Two people have been arrested, after an illegal event on New Years Eve in East Horndon.

Hundreds of people attended the unlicensed music event at All Saints Church.

Officers reported having objects thrown at them when they attended the scene.

Now a 32-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of burglary, money laundering, and cannabis cultivation.

They have since been released under investigation and our enquiries are continuing.
