Twiglet the Dachshund returns home safe

Twiglet the Dachshund is home after being stolen on Wednesday.

A Facebook post has said that she was home at 11pm last night (July 27) after a tip off, and has returned home subdued.

She was stolen following a burglary in Saffron Walden, Catmere End, on Wednesday, 26 July.

Essex Police say Twiglet's owners are grateful to the public for their help.

Essex Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information that might be able to help their investigation into the burglary.

It happened at an address in Catmere End, Saffron Walden on Wednesday 26 July, at around 3pm.

Police have been reviewing internal CCTV cameras which showed a man smashing the patio door and taking 16-month old Dachshund, Twiglet.

No arrests have been made and police are continuing their enquiries.
