Tributes paid to "loving daughter and sister" who died in Leigh-on-Sea
64-year-old Sharon Butler died after suffering injuries from an assault earlier this month
The family of a 64-year-old woman who died after an assault in Leigh-on-Sea have paid tribute to her.
Sharon Butler, of Leigh-on-Sea, died after Police were called to Whitehouse Meadows at around 9pm on November 7th.
It was after reports of an assault, and Sharon was found in the garden of a property with serious injuries.
She sadly died at the scene.
Sharon's family have now released a statement, expressing their shock:
Our world has been shattered by the loss of our loving daughter and sister. Our lives will never be the same without her. She never will be forgotten and will be forever in our hearts.
Detectives have charged a 54-year-old man with murder following Sharon's death.
Kevin Shepherd, 54 of Whitehouse Meadows, Leigh-on-Sea, has been remanded in custody, to next appear at Basildon Crown Court on Friday 5 January 2024.
