Road closed in Tiptree after cement lorry goes into ditch

A road is closed in Tiptree this afternoon (17 June) as a cement lorry has reportedly gone into a ditch.

The B1022 Maldon Road is shut in both directions between Fountain Lane and Birch Road.

Essex Travel News has tweeted to say a "cement lorry has left the road and gone into a ditch".

The road was reportedly blocked at around 2pm.

UPDATE: It is now being reported the road has been cleared as of around 6.30pm and traffic has returned to normal.
