Three people have been charged with attempted murder after a serious assault in Harlow.

This follows around-the-clock work after a man suffered stab wounds on Wednesday 24 January.

We were called to Fold Croft, at around 8pm, to reports a man was being treated by ambulance workers.

He was taken to hospital in a serious condition but is thankfully making a recovery.

As a result of our continuing work, officers arrested three people yesterday (Wednesday 14 February).

Charges of attempted murder and possession of a bladed article have since been authorised against Daniar Hamad, 20, of no fixed address, Reden Rasoulzadeh, 18, of Juniper Road, Harlow, and Ari Abasi, 19, of Kingston Road, London.

All three are due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court this morning. (Thursday 15 February).

Detective Superintendent Dan Morrissey said: “We have conducted lengthy enquiries and frequently engaged with the community in Harlow following this incident.

“In the aftermath, we were quickly able to determine there was no ongoing threat to the wider public.

“But I am all too aware of the understandable concern shared by residents following this serious assault.

“This concern was matched by our continued determination to establish the circumstances leading up to this incident, resulting in several arrests and now charges against three people.”
