Teenager charged following alleged robbery in Braintree
Police arrested four teens in total, following the incident in the town centre.
A teenager has been charged over a robbery in Braintree following good work by our officers.
It was reported a 15 year-old boy had his coat stolen in Braintree town centre at around 3pm last Monday (27 May).
Officers who attended the scene quickly arrested two 14 year-old boys and a 15 year-old boy on suspicion of robbery and recovered a coat.
They have since been released on bail until 23 August.
Three days later (Thursday 30 May), officers arrested a four teenage boy – a 15 year-old.
He has since been charged with robbery and a public order offence and is next due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 4 June.
