Teen charged after man found with stab wounds in Colchester
The man in his thirties was injured last Friday
A teenager has been charged in connection with an incident where a man was found with stab wounds in Colchester.
On Friday (31 March) a man in his thirties was found in Magdalen Street at around 11pm, with injuries.
He was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
18-year-old Joseph Little, of St Marys Close, Panfield, was arrested shortly after and has now been charged.
Little has been charged with attempted murder, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, criminal damage, and affray.
Two other people, an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, were arrested but have been released on bail until June 12th.
Joseph Little is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrate's Court today (5 April).
District Commander for Colchester, Chief Inspector Colin Cox, said: “I know this incident will have caused concern but Colchester is a safe place.
“We continue to work hard to target violence in all its forms”.
