Non-league football club Southend United have been given time to pay a tax debt of more than £250,000.
HM Revenue & Customs asked a judge to wind up the club at a hearing in a specialist court in London on Wednesday.
But Judge Mark Mullen said he would give the club time to pay and said the case would be reconsidered on July 12.
The clubs Chairman for the last 25 years, Ron Martin, has had the club up for sale since March 17th.
Fans on social media have made their feelings known, with some demanding answers from the chairman.
Others say they feel like this is the end of the club.
