Road closed in Chelmsford due to a serious two-vehicle crash

Essex Police have confirmed an A-road has been closed due to a "serious" two-vehicle crash.
The force say it was called to the A414 at Writtle, near Chelmsford, at 4:30am this morning (22 June).
A full road closure is in place at the roundabout with Highwood Road & Bulimers Way.
Access to the nearby Hanging Garden Nurseries is being managed by officers to ensure customers will still be able to access it whilst the closure is in place.
Police have told drivers to expect the closure to be in place for a few hours whilst investigations take place.
