Man who admitted causing death by careless driving after pub crash in Colchester to be sentenced

A man who admitted causing death by careless driving after crashing into a pub in Colchester will be sentenced today (17 June).

Stuart McClung, aged 40, died from injuries suffered during the incident at the Spinnaker Pub in Hythe Quay shortly before 1am on 3 November, 2019.

Several others also sustained injuries.

Driver of the vehicle, Bandile Xozumti, admitted causing death by careless driving at Chelmsford Crown Court on 12 May.

The 41-year-old, of Waterside Lane in Colchester, will be sentenced at the same court later.
