A second man has now been charged after the death of a man in Pitsea in 2018.

25 year-old Jeffrey Goodwin, from London, is charged with murder of Dwayne Forrester.

21 year-old Dwayne was fatally injured in Little Garth in 2018 but police have only just brought charges in the case.

The charges come after what police are calling an 'extensive' investigation.

Detectives say they've taken over 400 statements and seized more than 800 pieces of evidence in the case.

Goodwin is next due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on Friday 14 January.

Last week 24 year old Hayden Line, of Esmond Close in Rainham, was also charged with murder.

A provisional trial date has been set for 5 December.
